Founded in 1998, the Integrated Product Design Program (IP) of the University of Applied Sciences Coburg merges the disciplines of design, engineering, business, manufacturing, aesthetics, visual perception as well as human-product interaction. The undergrauduate program therefore offers an integrated approach to meet challenging developments in the area of product design and development such as added functionality, the integration of technology or tougher recycling demands.
The Hofbrauhaus in the heart of the Upper Franconian town of Coburg, formerly known for its art of brewing is now home to the chair of Design. It has become a center for innovative design and related services that allows for learning through theory and practice. Students, freelancers, companies and entrepreneurs come together with the aim of creating where compelling new products and unique experiences.
